Today is my Grand mother’s birthday. I love her very much; she has always showered love on me like a mother and stayed with me like a friend. She is the source of inspiration for me. She is not like an old granny who keeps scolding children, instead she understands my problems and is always ready to offer help.I always adhere to her advice and every time she proves to be right. I always wonder how her thinking matches with today’s world? More so, when there is almost 60 yrs of gap in between.

Well, from many days I was thinking about what present I should get for her. Yesterday I got a fantastic idea; I thought that I will prepare her birthday cake on my own. I think giving something for which I have made effort myself will give me a sense of satisfaction and her, a sense of delight. It was she who taught me how to bake a cake last month and I am sure that she will love it when she tastes it.
